Its good, but...
This game has a lot going for it. First, it actually teaches math. Second the control scheme is great. Finally, the art style is really nice.
Here is my main complaint. The game needs a greater sense of progression. The child should sense their progress. The game now is fine but the need a better payoff for doing it right.
The fish is growing but it isnt obvious how close it is to being grown. I suggest a bar that fills up on one side of the screen.
When the child completes the level there should be something awesome... Take for example the Peggle win production. In that game, they make a huge deal out of it when you win.
Those are my only real complaints. The reason that they are relevant is that they keep the child playing. As it is, my kids play it for a little while and then ask for something else. I would prefer if they kept going with their addition practice instead of playing Peggle.
Btw, my kids are 2 and 3. They can do it but I feel they lose interest too quickly.
